Ellison-Auxier Architects is the continuation of a firm established by Walter Boschen in St. Joseph Missouri. Bringing over 100 years of proven talent in the architectural field, our experience combined with our unique team approach to design makes Ellison-Auxier the best qualified choice for your project. The combination of our history, and experience of providing architectural services to companies in Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, and Texas keeps Ellison-Auxier at the forefront of the architectural field.
Our experience and commitment to meeting the client’s needs ensure successful projects for commercial, educational (higher education and K-12), faith-based, non-profit, recreational, and preservation/restoration clientele. Ellison-Auxier Architects has worked hard to bring diverse practices that have benefited our clients for planning, programming, and design. Our large number of repeat clients is a testimony to our diversified professional services.
Ray Herschman led the firm after Walter Boschen until Gary Ellison took control in 1974. Jeff Ellison and Lori Ellison-Wilson became owners in 2003. We are proud to say the firm has been in continuous operation since 1910. We at Ellison-Auxier are very community-minded. We are proud supporters of the Gold Coat Club at MWSU, United Way, St. Joseph Sports Commission, the Mustang baseball team, we are active in the Chamber of Commerce, The Kiwanis Club, St. Joseph Construction Association and have served on many boards and committees throughout the community.

Principal Architect, A.I.A. NCARBJeff Ellisonjeff@ellison-auxier.comJeff received his education from Kansas State University where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture Degree. He joined the team in 1990 and is a member of AIA and NCARB. As a registered Architect, Jeff oversees planning and design phases for all projects and is involved in construction administration. Jeff has experience with all project types and is currently the firm’s representative at Benedictine College and Missouri Western State University. -

Principal Architect, A.I.AJeremy Proctorjeremy@ellison-auxier.comJeremy joined the firm in 1996 after Graduating from Southeast Community College with an Associates of Applied Science in Architectural Engineering. As a registered architect, he oversees production and design and is involved in construction administration. Jeremy is currently the firm’s representative for North Central Missouri College. -

DesignerLori Wilsonlori@ellison-auxier.comLori holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design and Photography from Missouri Western State University. She joined the firm in 1985 and has been designing and coordinating the interiors as well as space planning for the majority of our projects. -

Production Leader/REVIT SpecialistAmanda Lindquistamanda@ellison-auxier.comAmanda joined the firm in 2014 after graduating from Southeast Community College with an Associates of Applied Science in Architectural Engineering. Her knowledge and skill has her working as a production coordinator using the most up to date 3D software available. -

Intern ArchitectHayden EllisonHayden joined the firm in 2022 after attending Kansas State University and is working toward licensure. Hayden creates all of our renderings, is a detailer and works on project production for many of our projects. -

Intern ArchitectInbal (Bell) HazlettBell received her Bachelor of Architecture at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design and a Masters in Urban Planning at the University of Kansas. She joined the firm in 2024 and is working towards licensure. -
